Slow walkers are the most annoying type of people in the world. They are the bane of my existence. Slow walkers take up so much time; they view the world in slow motion. There is no worse feeling than being stuck behind a group of slow walkers.
There have been times for all of us when we are in a hurry, and something gets in the way. Whether it’s distance, time restraints, or slow walkers. If you’re often in a crowded space, such as school hallways, work, or a street, and experience anger because of this, it is called “sidewalk rage.” If you have experienced this feeling, it may feel like you are boiling. You feel rage slowly build up inside you. Your movements become swift and aggressive, and you may start to think unkind things. You may even mumble a few words under your breath, even saying them out loud. This anger causes a focus unlike any other. This focus boosts your motivation and desire to complete the task, or in this case, the desire to get to your destination.
Understanding that slow walkers may have reasons for their actions is important. What if you got a text from your mom saying that your beloved pet hamster died? You may feel a wave of sadness come upon you, and it may cause you to suddenly stop. Whatever the case is, cellphones are the #1 reason of slow walkers. Are you just so captivated by that tiny screen that it prohibits you from walking at a half-decent pace? I believe there is no argument for slow walkers.
Being behind a slow walker can cause unnecessary anger. It is an awful experience being behind someone slowly dragging their feet while twiddling their hair, or staring down at their phone as if they are under a spell. If you are not capable of walking at a speed that is appropriate, don’t bother being in anyone’s way.
