All 7 choirs joined for a song at the end of the showcase.
The FCHS Choirs work relentlessly all year round to perfect songs for listening enjoyment. Most recently, the 7 choirs hosted family and friends in the FCHS Performing Arts Center to hear the pieces they have been working on during the first 9 weeks of school. These pieces ranged in tempo, from slow ballads to chants, and the inevitable upbeat showstopper that makes up the show choir set. The songs also ranged in popularity, as there were select choral pieces to popular songs such as “Abracadabra ” by Lady Gaga, “Unforgettable” made popular by Nat King Cole, and “When Will My Life Begin” from Disney’s Tangled.
The schedule also included a song from the upcoming production of Mary Poppins, performed by Madison Fleener, Theo Necessary, and Scout McManus. The choir concerts and performances are truly a gift to the school community. Following the fall concert, the choirs have begun to prepare for their Holiday concert series. This production will be shown to students during designated in-school showtimes, as well as their Winter Concert on December 5th.
