Chris Brown, R&B star and icon, is releasing his 12th studio album, BROWN on May 8th.
The 27 track album will feature several other artists, including Bryson Tiller, Leon Thomas, and NBA YoungBoy. The album already has 4 single releases, Obvious, It Depends, Fallin, and Holy Blindfold.
The albums’ title means more than just his name, it is an acronym for “Break Rules Only When Necessary,” hinting at his F.A.M.E album in 2011.
The cover art for this upcoming album also strikes resemblance to Micheal Jacksons’ “Thriller” album. Brown historically has modeled his career after Jackson, as he grew up with him and took inspiration from the King of Pop.

The influence that Chris Brown has taken from Micheal Jackson are apparent since his debut. The dancing, skills, voice, and charisma made the relation undeniable. Brown never denied the comparison, he embraced it, and has covered MJ songs over the years.
This album follows his widely successful and grammy winning album 11:11 (Deluxe), his second grammy after F.A.M.E.
