
TP Warehouse Wiped Out by Arsonist
Last week on the 7th, 29-year-old employee, Chamel Abdulkarim, allegedly set fire to a 1.2-million-square-foot toilet paper warehouse. He filmed himself setting fire to a package of toilet paper after complaining about low wages, then he posted it online. According to ontarioca.gov, he is currently in custody at the West Valley Detention Center under felony charges of arson. People said that he caused approximately 500 million dollars in damages.

Pokemon Card Conflict Leads to Shooting in Indy
On April 11, a man was shot in a Kroger parking lot on the east side of Indianapolis over an argument about Pokemon cards, per Fox59. Officials discovered from bystanders that the shooting arose from an argument over Pokemon. This is the first shooting caused by Pokemon, but countless aggressive interactions have occurred across the country. IMPD detained and arrested the person of interest.

$150 Million Contract for 19-year-old Baseball Player
Last week, Konnor Griffin, the 19-year-old baseball phenom for the Pittsburgh Pirates, signed a 9-year, $150 million deal. The Pirates are banking on Paul Skenes and Konnor Griffin to be the face of the Franchise for Pittsburgh. The last time the Pirates made the playoffs was 2015. The Pirates are off to a strong start this year and are first in the division.

Draft Registration Becomes Automatic
By December 2026, registration for Selective Service, or the draft, will be changed from self-registration to automatic registration. The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026, signed by President Trump on December 18, 2025, amends The Military Selective Service Act, stating “Except as otherwise provided in this title, every male citizen of the United States, and every other male person residing in the United States, between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six, shall be automatically registered under this Act by the Director of the Selective Service System.” This means that American men will no longer have to register for Selective Service within 30 days of turning 18 years old.

His victory showcased incredible consistency and composure under pressure at Augusta National Golf Club. With this achievement, McIlroy strengthens his place among golf’s elite and adds another major milestone to his already impressive career.
