NASCAR Results at Darlington
Yesterday, NASCAR had its 6th race of its season. The 6th race took place in Darlington County, South Carolina, at Darlington Raceway (“The Lady in Black”) or (“The Track Too Tough To Tame”).
Darlington Raceway is one of the most challenging and unforgiving tracks in the NASCAR series, with the track being more challenging than the other tracks NASCAR races at and goes to. This gives the reason why the nicknames for Darlington are The Lady in Black or The Track Too Tough To Tame.
The reason why Darlington is the most challenging track out of all the other tracks is that Darlington is a 1.366-mile track shaped like an egg-shaped oval track. The banking is also very different than any other tracks because turn 1 and turn 2’s banking is 25 degrees, and turns 3 and 4’s banking is 23 degrees, and even the frontstretch and backstretch have a bit of banking that is 6 degrees.
The overall results (overall winner) were #45 Tyler Reddick (Toyota), with that being his fourth win of this season. Though he won the race and started on pole, he encountered mechanical issues but overcame them to win. He also wasn’t the dominant car, the person who was #6, Brad Keselowski.
